Brazil Passport/Visa Photos

IMPORTANT NOTE:
We have recently been informed that the Brazilian Consulates in the USA now accept 2x2 inch (US style) passport photos for Brazilian Passport applications/renewals.

Hence if you are ordering passport photos for Brazil on our website, please click on this link and let us know what size of photos your paperwork/consulate requires you to submit.

Brazilian Consulates in the USA used to require passport photos 2 x 3 inch, but now many of them require 35x45mm or 2x2 inch photos. Due to this change it is important that you clarify the exact dimensions stated in your application. If you forget to do so or aren't sure, we will create 2x2 inch photos by default.

If you want 2x3 inch Brazilian Passport Photos, here are the requirements:

• Two Identical Passport Size Photos, size 2"x3" (5x7 cm),
• Color or Black and White for a Brazilian Passport.
• Photos must have white or a light background
• Photos must be front view
• Must have been taken within the past three (3) months.
• Passport booth instant photos are not accepted

As said earlier, most consulates require 35x45mm sized photos as per EU or Schengen passport photo specs. However New York consulate requires 2x2 inch photos.

Brazil Visa Photos (Brazilian Visa Pictures)

One recent (2in x 2in) passport-photo, front view, white background pasted at the Visa Appicaltion/Protocl Form. Snapshots or computer pictures are not acceptable;

BRAZIL VISA PHOTOGRAPH SPECIFICATIONS

The picture must be taken against a plain off-white background.

The applicant's face must be looking straight at the camera and shoulder's must be square to the camera

No glasses or jewlery reflections, shadows or glares are accepted in the picture.

The length from the bottom of chin to the top of the head must be between 31 and 36mm (millimetres) in heigth. - The facial expression must be neutral.

The eyes must be open and clearly visible.

Glasses should not reflect any light. Neither sunglasses nor colorful frames are acceptable (no sunglasses or colored lens accepted).

The top of the head must be exposed, unless its for religious reasons (the applicant's face must still be visible).

Children carrying toys, sucking on a pacifier, or having the hands showing of an adult holding them will not be accepted.

Make sure the photo you send us meets the following requirements:

• Full UPPER BODY view (waist up) with all facial features clearly visible
• Background: white or light colored background
• Face should neither be too bright nor too dark
• If wearing eyeglasses, there shouldn't be a reflection of light from the glasses
• No visible shadow on the face or background
• Do not wear white/ light colored shirt as it blends with the background. Light reflection from hair should not be visible.
